| Anna Christensson was born in 1982 and grew up in Varnhem in Västergötland, Sweden. She received her first musical education at the Music Senior High School in Skövde, where her main teacher was Per Törngren. In 2001-2005 she studied with Anders Kilström at Royal College of Music in Stockholm, and right now she is in the middle of her Diploma studies at Edsberg Manor, where she is taught by Mats Widlund. |

| Anna has participated in masterclasses with Michel Béroff, Laszlo Simon, Anne Öland, Hans Leygraf and many others. She has won several scholarships and prizes, for example First Prize in a competition held by the Swedish piano teachers' association in 2002 and the Royal Swedish Academy of Music's big scholarship for studies abroad in 2003. In 2004, Anna was elected Scholar of the year by the Amorina Foundation in Sollentuna. |

| Anna often features in different concert situations, both as a soloist and chamber musician. She is also working a lot with singers, and together with the alto Ivonne Fuchs, Anna this year received a scholarship titled ”Lansering 2006 - Ordet och Tonen”. |

| Among Anna's solo performances are Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Symphony Orchestra of the Royal College of Music, Stockholm and Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2 with Stockholm's Youth Symphony Orchestra. Anna is also a member of ”Curious Chamber Players”, an ensemble for contemporary chamber music. During the summer 2006, Anna will perform at music festivals in Båstad, Sandviken and Piteå. |
